2024 INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME REPORT

Theme: “Youths’ Role for Sustainable Peace and Security Development”
Objective: Empower youths to become agents of peace and security, foster leadership skills, promote conflict resolution strategies, and enhance community engagement.

– Keynote addresses by Prof. Ali Ibrahim Abbas (NEDC) and Alh. Shehu Mohammed (ACReSAL)
– Pharm. Abdulaziz Garba Mohammed, Executive secretary, Yobe State Drugs And Medical Consumables Management Agency.
– Commissioner of Police, Representated by PPRO, CSP. Dungus Abdulkarim.
– Hajiya Ramatu S.B., Deputy Commander, NDLEA.
– Hajiya Zainab Ago, Permanent Secretary, Yobe State Ministry of Women Affairs
– Expert insights from Comr. Dauda Muhammad Gombe (NEYIF) and Dr. Abubakar Bala (Royalton Hall)

Outcomes:

Recommendations:
– Regular leadership training programs for youths

Conclusion:
The 2024 International Peace Day Leadership Training Programme was a resounding success, equipping youths with essential skills and knowledge to promote peace and security in Yobe State. ZETSI Africa and the Office of Yobe State Security Adviser remain committed to fostering a culture of peace and sustainable development.
